Alabama Love Guns was put together in San Diego, CA by friends Chad Merritt, Tim Scanlon, Alex Ferguson and Soda. Alex answered an ad on Craigslist at the time and we started practicing at Tim’s house in North Park in San Diego, CA. I think Soda was maybe crashing on the couch at the time, but just started piecing some songs together that Chad had and a couple that TIm sang as well. We played a couple of shows with our friends Unspun (Vince Norris). Recorded at a studio in San Diego and put out the songs. Chad’s son ended up becoming a pretty great drummer and put out a couple of songs. Tim ended up in Phoenix, AZ and then to Maine and has continued playing. Check him out if you can. Alex continues to play and don’t know what ever happened to Soda.
